Coney Green Results - 14th November 2010
Oooooh it's all smiles at Coney Green, but the league competition is hotting up now!
Although it looks as though Nick Brinsdon has the Short Wheelbase (SWB) Coil class all sewn up, look a little closer. As the "Best 8" results are kicking-in to make it fair for those who cannot get to all the events in the year, this adds a new dimension. Nick needs to win the last event at Newman's Quarry just to add 2 points to his 72 total to seal his victory. A second place at Newman's would leave him stuck on a final score of 72. If Carl O'Connor were to win at Newman's, his final score would also hit 72, and with an overall better average, Carl would nick the championship from Nick...... No pressure then?
It gets simpler when you look at the SWB Leaf class. Tim Kemp and Simon Griffiths have an identical total total score, with an identical performance record (If you ignore Simon's record-breaking 4 Spanner Awards for daft errors). All they need to do now is sort it out at Newman's Quarry.
Simpler still is the Long Wheelbase class. I win it because I turned up. Come on chaps!!! bring out those old discos & rangies and have a go next year!!!
Don't forget, Newman's Quarry is our Christmas RTV Trial, so you are expected to dress up yourself and your motor to suit the occasion. Steve Smith and Dave Perks are planning some devious novelty sections for your entertainment. Come along and join the fun on Saturday 4th December.
