Update on the preparations for the ALRC National 2008
IMPORTANT! MROC Club Members!
It has long been custom and practice for members of the Club hosting the
National Rally not to enter the competitions. However, for the 60th Anniversary
Event the MROC National Committee feel it fitting and right that MROC Club
members should be able to enter for one event providing that they also marshal
for a day over the event weekend.
Anybody entering the Event will be automatically assigned to marshal on one of the other days and will be expected to honour the agreement.
BOOKING NUMBERS
- Don’t leave it too late…
Due to the excellent entry response, on the 13th August 2007 Booking Number 366
was placed.
We only have the following number of places left for booking:
R.T.V. 37 C.C.V.T. 28 Comp 57
Those wishing only to camp / caravan also need to get their bookings in, although this is not quite so urgent. However please be aware of the following: a number of pitches will be allocated to each club corresponding to the number of booked entries. Late entries will be in a separate area. Once all pitches are booked no further entries will be permitted.
However - all is not lost! To save disappointment for those that don't heed the "book competition places early" warnings, we may introduce a Senior's Class in the Bike Trial! You have been warned!
One thing that needs to be mentioned here is that there will be NO FREEBIES! All members wishing to attend, including committee members, need to book and pay.
NO TRADE STANDS!
Unfortunately, due to a conflict of interest with “other parties”, we will not
be able to have any Trade Stands at the 2008 National. This is a condition of
booking the venue and is non-negotiable – sorry folks!

www.mroc-national2008.co.uk website is constantly updated and added to as
information becomes available. A range of clothing emblazoned with the National
2008 logo is now available to order: a leaflet will be enclosed in the next
issue of the MROC monthly magazine, or you may peruse the range and download an

ALREADY PUT YOUR NAME DOWN TO HELP?
Thanks to those of you who have already pledged your help. We have had a couple
of comments regarding lack of communication with you and for this we apologise.
All section heads on the National Committee have their own lists of helpers and
will be contacting you in the near future with an update, if they haven’t
already done so. Please bear in mind that for some areas, nothing can be done at
the moment and this is probably the reason that you have not been contacted.
Don’t worry – everyone who has expressed an interest in helping has been noted
down – you won’t escape now, you know!! Check out the National website and keep
an eye on the club magazine and we will keep you as up to date as possible!
SPONSORS
We
have already had a lot of interest from different companies who wish to sponsor
us. Our confirmed major sponsor is Land Rover Experience, with promises of
sponsorship from quite a few Land Rover parts retailers, a winch company and a
caravan accessory supplier.
Sponsorship covers equipment required: canes, wrist bands, marshals hi-vis jackets, signage, trophies, generators, lighting units, stickers and freebies for Rally Packs, site services (toilets / showers etc) – in fact anything we need can be sponsored!
The Programme is to be an A5 colour glossy publication – with, yes, you’ve guessed it - room for advertising. So if there is anyone out there would like to contribute or knows a company who would be interested, all input is gratefully received.
