This vehicle is quite well known and has had a fantastic history of event wins over the years, it has been through it’s fair share of hill rally’s and local club events, regularly placed in the top ten and usually with a class win. It is possibly the fastest land rover on leaf springs in the world, a true pleasure to drive and race.

It is based on an 88in leaf sprung chassis, fitted with modified Range Rover axles giving disc brakes all around. A well tuned 3.5 V8 gives plenty of power and the auto box gives sharp gear changes every time. It has a full QT roll cage with inner wing running bars and sill protection to keep you nice and safe. The Transfer box has been re-worked to give separate 2wd / 4wd shifting on the move, and independent Hi Lo selection.

This is not your usual unfinished project, and it isn’t a strung or bodged together bag of bits that’s going to let you down time after time. This is a well proven vehicle that has been well maintained throughout its life.

It has been sat in my garage for two years and I haven’t touched it other than to start it up occasionally, so it could do with all the oils changing and a good check over. The only job outstanding to get it into tip top condition is replacing a bumpstop that fell off at the last event, and the seat needs a small repair where the fibreglass has pulled through. Other than that it’s ready to race or trial. It has a ALRC logbook and the rollcage is tagged and up to date.

It is registered and it’s road legal. No MOT or Tax at present, the tax is of course free.

Included is a twin axle trailer, in very good condition that tows a treat.

The trailer was shot blasted and re-painted a couple of years ago, it could now do with touching up in a few places.

Its time to say a reluctant goodbye to our trusty Freelander. This vehicle took me ages to find (being a picky so and so!) and is the best configuration i.e. the TD4 engine mated to the auto gearbox.

She has a good service history including a recently £600 service that amongst other items replaced included a new exhaust.

Colour is blue and there is also a soft top available to go with the fitted hard top.

I have had professionally fitted tow bar with twin electrics, so the car has not previously been used for heavy towing and she is absolutely fantastic at pulling a caravan without any struggle.

The only item possibly to address is the air con could do with a re gas.
