CCV / RTV & RTV1 Trials

Sunday 15th May 2022

CCROC will be holding RTV1 (=TYRO+), RTV / CCV trials on the same day at Bidfield Farm, Birdlip (South of Cheltenham (directions here).
The trials require pre-event Signing-On, but are pay on arrival.
The site is a mix of big open grassy banks with a few trees.
Booking details are
here with a reminder to read the ASR's BEFORE Signing-on. Sign-On must be completed by 6pm on Friday May 13th.

CCV & RTV Trials

Saturday 30th April 2022

Staffs & Shrops LRC will be holding both ALRC RTV & Open CCV trials on the same day at Baden Hall, near Stone (directions here). The trials are part of a full May Day Bank Holiday weekend of activities incl. Comp Safari, Timed CCV & TYRO Trials & Camping / Caravanning.
We've usually got various MROC RTV & CCV drivers competing , so why not join them ?
Signing-on / pre payment saves £5, but Pay On the Day might be possible if spaces still available. Pre-event booking

Easter at Eastnor !

14 - 19 April 2022

We'll be back to a hopefully almost normal Easter this year, with camping / caravans, social get togethers and a packed trialling calendar !

Camping will be available from the Thursday afternoon of the Bank Holiday weekend through to the Tuesday after.

We'll have toilets in the camping & trials areas & the camp site has water and a chemical toilet emptying point.

Camping is £15 per night per unit, payable as cash on arrival.

We've got catering on Saturday evening only - Home a la Carte - selling burgers, fries etc (last minute change due to COVID impact on our previous caterer).
Bring your own food / drink for meals at other times.
We will have marquees for eating, drinking & socialising etc.

Great News for anyone Camping or caravanning during the weekend. Bar 7 will have the bar open Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights !!

The Estate have implemented gate lock codes to the Deer Park, so to gain accesss we'll need all potential campers to book via our Camping & Caravan Sec., Amanda Barber via email to caravans@mroc.co.uk

Easter Trials :

Saturday 16th : CCV in Clenchers or Hospital Wood.
Sunday 17th : RTV in News Wood / Ridgeway.
Monday 18th : CCV Timed Trial in Clenchers Wood.

NB 1 CCV vehicles will need trailering into the CCV trials meet up area (Eastnor Sheep Field) if drivers are camping.
NB 2 RTV meet -up point will be the camping area in the Eastnor Deer Park. We have emailed the gate code to all entrants a few days ago.
(NB : There WON'T BE ACCESS via the "Eastnor Woodyard entrance" due to the cafe now operating there (recommended !)

NB : CCV Q Class now permitted !
We've got 2 places left for the CCV if anyone wants to just turn up Saturday morning at Eastnor Sheep Field to Sign-On (08:45 ~09:15). Cost £30 cash.
There are 10 places left for RTV for Sunday - Meet-up point via Eastnor Deer Park (same timing & cost as above).

Spectators are welcome, but there are long walks from parking areas (
0.5 miles min.!)
Spectator vehicles are not allowed in the woods near the trials sections due to lack of space & quantity of trials vehicles
Nearest parking for the CCV & Timed Trial is the Eastnor Sheep Field (BUT NOT in the LRE features) & the Deer Park for the RTV.

16th January 2022 - THIS SUNDAY

CCROC will be holding TYRO (RTV1), RTV2 & CCV trials at Aggs Hill Quarry, near Cheltenham (directions here).
(Date now confirmed). Signing-on pre event mandatory, but Pay On the Day.

Who Dares Wins RTV / CCV Trial

30th December 2021 (Thursday)

Wye & Welsh will be holding their annual CCV / RTV challenge trial with a difference at Aberbeeg (Post Code NP13 2ER ). Check their website for up to date info & booking info here.
It's not far for MROC drivers near Eastnor or Worcester & has a great reputation as a very fun event

RTV / CCV Trial

19th December 2021

Wye & Welsh will be holding a CCV / RTV trial at Whitecliff Quarry, Coleford (Post Code GL16 8NB ). Check their website for up to date info & booking info here.
It's not far for MROC drivers near Eastnor or Worcester.

Day / Night Trial ! (RTV / CCV)

18th December 2021 (Saturday)

NB UPDATED INFO : CCROC will be organising their annual day / night trial at Newman's Quarry, close to Moreton in Marsh (Directions here).
CCV vehicles can enter & there will be CCV section variations towards the end of the RTV sections.
There won't be a TYRO trial.
The event starts AT
1 pm (changed) with 4 sections in daylight & then continues after a "half-time" halt for refreshments / a chat with 4 more sections in the dark (glow sticks on the canes - lol).

Auxiliary lights are permitted, but must be fixed & powered by the car.

High Viz jackets / tabards / arm bands COMPULSORY to ensure your visibility in the dark while not in a car!
Catering will be available (food, hot & cold drinks).
FREE burger and mince pie for everyone who's signed-on.

NB the same form is used for everyone now.

2022 Calendar / Drivers Meeting

15th December 2021 (Wednesday)

There'll be a meeting next week to discuss next years events calendar with paid-up Club members.

We were hoping to do this as a physical meeting at a pub, however with the current situation we have decided to hold it over Zoom instead.
Meeting timing is likely to be 7:30pm & details will be sent out later this week.

MROC AGM

Wednesday 3rd November

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the most important Club meeting of the year and the Committee urge all paid-up members to attend who can.

In addition to a quick review of the past year's activities, we'll elect next year's committee - including filling current vacancies.
Nomination forms for committee roles & more detail have been supplied via the very recent Club Journal.
Location is the Heath Suite, Beckets Farm on the A435 Alcester Road (location details). Access to the Heath Suite is through the Becketts Farm Restaurant entrance.

Anglian Rover Owners Club (AROC) are organising RTV & CCV trials at Newman's Quarry. Entry is via their online entry form accessible via their
website. Entry cost is £30 per driver - payable in advance of the event. The event is open to MROC members.

Camping & Caravan Event

8-10th October 2021

MROC is organising a C&C event at at Bannut Tree Farm Caravan Park - a working farm on the edge of the Wyre Forest in the picturesque Severn Valley.
There's good local pub food. There's plenty to do too.
If you fancy a ride on a steam train there's the Severn Valley railway, or if you fancy an Autumn walk or a cycle ride there is the Wyre Forest countryside centre.
We hope you can join us.

Family Fun Weekend

6 - 8 August 2021

As detailed in the latest journal, we will be holding a camping weekend at Leys Farm, Ledbury.

Camping from the Friday afternoon.

No need to camp to take part in Saturday's activities, just turn up.
The site has water and a chemical toilet emptying point.

Camping is £10 per night per unit, payable as cash on arrival .

Gymkhana expertly run by Phil Baker, then
BBQ with a quiz from quiz master Samantha Miller.
We’ll have the coals hot, just bring along your tasty treats to cook & eat

Eastnor Camping Weekend

Eastnor Castle Deer Park

Please come and join us for a long-awaited social and camping weekend. There will be no competitions but a scenic drive around the 1000 acre Eastnor Estate is planned.

Camping: £12 per night.
Scenic Drive: £5 per vehicle.
