Terence (Terry) Hadley
Terry was a member of MROC for nearly 30 years until he passed away in January. His funeral was held on 2nd March at Redditch Crematorium.

Membership renewals
If you joined or renewed in 2025, your membership was due for renewal at the end of February 2026. Renewal applications are accepted from 1st January through to the end of February.

New land for a CCV trial
Our first CCV of the year is at Apley Estate, Bridgnorth on Sunday 8th March, sourced via Steve Blackham. A new site to us, starting with a CCV, with hopes of larger events in future.

MROC has been awarded the Motorsport UK People Accreditation, recognising the club’s commitment to a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment across all its events and activities.

Major’s CCV Trial
Last year’s Major’s CCV trial was another success, and the Shropshire site got plenty of praise from the competitors. This year’s event is booked for 12th and 13th September 2026.

Ian Canham
Ian passed away on Sunday 5th May after moving to Myton Hospice. His funeral was on 11th June at St Bartholomew’s Church, Binley, followed by burial at Lenton’s Lane Cemetery.

Major’s 2024
Planning for the 2024 Major’s is underway. Dates are fixed for 13th–15th September at Green Hall Farm, near Llanfyllin, Powys — the same site as last year.

Andrew Neaves
Long-term member and contributor to the club’s activities, Andrew died on 13th March after a short illness. He had been a member since 1983 and held a committee role in 1992.

Easter 2024 at Newman’s Quarry
Bookings are open for this Easter’s activities at Newman’s Quarry: TYRO, RTV and CCV Timed Trials, plus camping and caravanning.

Wagtail trials cancelled
This weekend’s TYRO and CCV trials have had to be cancelled at the landowner’s request, because of the waterlogged site and flooded approach roads. Please do not turn up.

Major’s 2023
The 2023 Major’s is over. The new site’s trials area was well received, and the event was won by Peak & Dukeries’ Neal Mellish, Dave Naylor and Ben Parkes — who also put three teams in the top five.

Croft Farm trials, 10th–11th June
Great turnout for the TYRO and CCV trials at Croft Farm last weekend, in blazing sun. Thanks to layers-out Alex Griffiths and Chris Morgan-Cettler for TYRO, and Will Guilding for CCV.
